Coastal Tents Open Day & Styled Shoot
Owen & Carla are a husband and wife team who are incredibly passionate about helping you create the perfect setting for your big day.
They provide authentic nordic tipi’s which are absolutely gorgeous (my new favourite thing!!), solid wooden poles with a light tan canvas, just perfect! They also provide sailcloth tents which are a fantastic alternative to marquee’s, the translucent sailcloth allows natural light to enhance the daylight and offers a fantastic glow in the evening. Another lovely feature is the panoramic sides which can easily be rolled up (or down) to suit your needs and allow the outside in, why miss those views!
Coastal Tents also provide some fantastic item’s to enhance your event, from solid wood tables and benches, to festoon walkways, unique bar options, awesome handmade reclaimed pallet wood doors to really make an entrance, and atmospheric fire pits to name a few.
Carla & Owen contacted us at the beginning of the year to ask us whether we would like to get involved and tell us about the planned open day event at the beautiful Dorset Farm Party, based on the Charisworth Farm, near Blandford, Dorset.
We were sold at the mention of tipi’s and were very excited to be styling the event, surrounded by some incredible local supplier’s. After meeting with the team we were massively impressed at the passion that Carla & Owen have for their business and seeing the sailcloth tents and tipi’s we couldn’t wait to get started!
Month’s of planning saw us loading up two vehicles armed with all things gorgeous, a festival style vibe for the tipi’s, using a colour palette of creams, nude, peach, coral, a splash of cerise, jade and touches of gold, and an abundance of ribbon’s. The sailcloth was dressed in a more elegant classic style to contrast the tipi. Using masses of candlelight throughout both styles of tents.
We had an amazing day dressing the tents in such a beautiful location, the view – just stunningly perfect! We had the pleasure of Sophie & Mark from Digital Bohemia Wedding Videography capturing some footage of the set up. We also met the lovely girls from New Street Flowers who provided us with some gorgeous blooms which complimented everything perfectly. The open day event on the following day led into a styled shoot which sadly we weren’t able to attend either due to an incredibly busy 5 event weekend, one of the hardest weekends we’ve had in a while, but probably one of the most rewarding!
