Broadlands - A Photo shoot in Hampshire

Towards the end of last year I was asked to join forces with an incredible group of wedding suppliers to capture a ceremony photo shoot at a new wedding venue nestled in the picturesque landscapes of the Broadlands Estate in Romsey, Hampshire.

A beautiful light and airy orangery set up for a wedding ceremony. The aisle is dressed with lanterns and flowers and pretty ivory chiffon on the chairs.

The Broadlands Estate allows you to walk in the footsteps of royalty, being the location of where Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip started their married life and where Prince Charles and Princess Diana spent the first days of their honeymoon. They offers a limited number of weddings, so with this exclusive use, promising only ever one wedding a day. They have 4 licensed ceremony locations both indoor and outdoors, meaning there is the flexibility to move locations if the weather doesn't comply. There is the stunning orangery where we spent the day creating this beautiful shoot, you can also stand outside, under the orangery portico, with your guests seated on the lawn. The stunning walled garden offers a tranquil private haven surrounded by historic listed walls, these options are licensed for up to 50 guests and the final option for more intimate ceremonies of up to 20 guests, the beautiful Inigo bridge, with the crystal clear River Test flowing beneath you.

A stunning display of a cake set in front of a set out doors, with candles styling and a floral meadow design in front of the table.

The shoot was organised by Ruth Mundy Weddings, Jo Hicks and I were given the outline of the feel of the shoot and after studying the space, we knew the colour palette needed to pick out the beautiful warm tones of the floor and the walls, adding in some contrasting accents. You are completely surrounded by stunning landscapes and wanted to bring that in to this beautiful space, creating this natural feel. Nature with touches of luxury, focusing on simplicity, with beautiful detailing.
